Description

When most of us think about the holiday season, we think about togetherness.

The Chandler Library will be working with Neighborhood Resources to show our community members experiencing homelessness we are thinking about them and wish them happy holidays.

The Downtown Chandler Library Branch will have a holiday drive featuring a "giving tree," with ornaments that list items to be donated for those experiencing homelessness. The tree will be in the Downtown branch starting November 20th.

All new, donated items must be brought in by December 20th to the Downtown Branch so that items can be ready for the holiday.

Donations will be taken at the Information Desk. We all shine when you can help make someone else's holiday a bit brighter!

If you would like to bring in donations without taking an ornament, the new, unwrapped items you can donate are: 

  • Clean socks
  • Hand Warmers
  • Unscented Baby Wipes
  • Tampons/Pads
  • Underwear
  • Toilet Paper (small bundles)
  • Water Bottles (reusable)
  • First Aid Kit
  • Flashlight with batteries
  • Blankets (weatherproof, if possible)
  • Hats/Gloves/Scarves/Earmuffs
  • Earbuds/headphones
  • Razors
  • Deodorant
  • Toothbrush and Toothpaste
  • Small lotions
  • Chapstick
  • Crossword books
