Beyond the Pages: Local Author Talks

Description

Kick off our Local Author Fair with an inspiring event featuring two accomplished authors sharing their expertise on the craft of writing and the journey to getting published. Gain valuable insights, strategies, and practical advice to help shape your own writing path. Perfect for aspiring writers and book lovers! Participants will have the chance to enter a raffle to win a tote bag filled with exciting prizes.

Featured speakers include:




1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Amy Fellner Dominy
: An award-winning author and educator with an MFA in Creative Writing and Playwriting from ASU. Her accolades include the Arizona Grand Canyon Reader’s Award, the Abilene Reader’s Choice Award, and the ALA Sydney Taylor Notable Award. Amy's work has been featured in Highlights magazine, and she has written plays for Theater in One Act and A Play in Two Acts.





2:30 PM - 3:30 PM  Robrt Pela
: A Pulliam Prize-winning journalist and longtime columnist for Phoenix New Times. With contributions to The Advocate, Psychology Today, and Men’s Fitness, Robrt is also a regular contributor to NPR affiliate KJZZ and writes for Phoenix Magazine.
