Local Author Talk: Adriana Allegri

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Hamilton Library

Description

Join us at Hamilton Library as we welcome local author Adriana Allegri for an interactive discussion of her debut novel, THE SUNFLOWER HOUSE - an Apple Books and Amazon Editor's Pick for November 2024 hailed as "An unforgettable story of love and sacrifice... an exceptional debut.” by Heather Morris, international bestselling author of The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

The Sunflower House is the story of Allina Strauss, a young woman who loses everyone she loves before being forced to work at a Nazi "baby factory" called Hochland Home. Although she must hide her Jewish identity to survive, when Allina discovers the neglect occurring within the home, she's determined to save not only herself, but as many children as she can.

Allegri will share more about Himmler's ruthless eugenics efforts, the book's themes and research, and her 25-year journey to publication.

All attendees can also enter to get a chance to win a free signed copy.
