Meet Krampus: The Dark Side of Christmas

1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Downtown Library

Description

Are you looking for a unique Christmas photo op? Do you love the darker side of Christmas?  Come join us for photos with Krampus, presented by the local Chandler horror pop culture store, Terror Trader!  There will also be photo opportunities with a local Chandler resident wearing a custom made authentic Krampus costume.

Who is Krampus? He is a creature from European folktales who, in the stories, seeks out all the misbehaving boys and girls around the holiday season! He is often shown with a long tongue, fur, and chains, symbolizing the darker aspects of winter, and the importance of moral behavior. Over time, Krampus has gained popularity beyond Europe, becoming a quirky and funny symbol of holiday folklore worldwide.

The first hundred families or single individuals will get a Krampus goody bag!

Remember- Krampus has a very busy holiday schedule looking for any bad behavers, so please arrive early to guarantee a photo!

Only service animals are allowed in the library.
